Purpose
To offer adults the opporutnity to learn more about the Church's teachings (various courses) at their own pace using previously recorded sessions.
In Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us: A Pastoral Plan for Adult Faith Formation in the United States (1999), the United States Catholic bishops call the U.S. Church to a renewed commitment to adult faith formation whereby adults can consciously grown in relationship and knowledge of Christ through prayer, study, and reflection.
"The world is being reshaped by technology...Adults are responding to these changes by self-directed learning [asynchronous courses]."
Therefore, through the Pastoral Instiute, we offer the following asynchronous courses. -
Procedure
• Cost is $30 for each Course
• Participants have six weeks to complete a course.
• Once registered, an email will be sent with the password for the course/s.• Participants can submit questions about the content to Christella Alvarez (contact information below).
Certificate
• To receive credit for a course, participants must email (see below) a summary/reflection of each course to Christella Alvarez.
• A Pastoral Institute certificate will be sent to the participant for completing the course (viewing the recorded sessions and submitting a summary/reflection).

Program
Continuing Adult Faith Enrichment CAFE
• All adult Catholics are invited and encouraged to deepen their understanding of the faith through study, prayer, and experience.
• Parish Catechetical Leaders, Catechists, Catholic School teachers and liturgical ministers are highly enouraged to participate in CAFE
• All courses are password protected. Passwords are not to be shared.
• Courses are subject to change.
