Our Lady of Victory School, a 3K-8th parish school with 500 students in the Diocese of Victoria, seeks an exceptional academic, spiritual and visionary principal who will advance the mission and goals of a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Other qualities desired:  must possess well-developed and refined interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, competency in professional staff development, and eager to engage a seasoned faculty with a diverse student body. St. Michael Catholic School (Weimar, TX), a 2006 Blue Ribbon recipient, is accepting applications for Principal.  Current enrollment is 140 students from 4K-8th Grade.  To qualify for this position, one must be an active Catholic in their Parish, have a Masters Degree in Education with at least 18 hours in school administration, and have a minimum experience of 5 years teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic School.  To apply contact Mr. John E. Shiner Catholic School (St. Ludmila Elementary/St. Paul High School), a rural 3K-12th parish school with 325 students in the Diocese of Victoria, seeks an exceptional academic, spiritual and visionary principal who will advance the mission and goals of both a Catholic elementary and high school.

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Other qualities desired:  must possess well-developed and refined interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, competency in professional staff development, expertise in budgeting and financial management, and eager to engage a seasoned faculty with a diverse student body.  Steps to complete in the application process:

1.    Submit a letter of interest and resumé to local school and/or Office of Catholic Schools.

2.    Complete application process and return application, with accompanying forms, i.e., references, etc., to local school and/or Office of Catholic Schools. 

3.     Provide copies of all transcripts. (Note: If you are hired, you will be expected to provide original transcripts.)

4.     Eligible candidates will be scheduled for an interview.

5.      Applications remain on file for one year.

 

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR TEACHING POSITIONS IN THE DIOCESE OF VICTORIA:

Bachelor’s degree

12 credit hours in education or a valid, appropriate state certificate

bullet

In departmentalized settings, the degree should be in the content area or appropriate state certificate, or 18 credit hours in the content area taught

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PRINCIPAL/ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL IN THE DIOCESE OF VICTORIA:

bullet         Applicant must be a Catholic in good standing with the Church.
bullet         Possess master’s degree with at least 18 hours in school administration/supervision.
bullet         Have a minimum of 3 years teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic school. 
bullet         Mid-management certification and additional years of experience are optimum requirements.

*These are minimum requirements.  However, a particular location or opening may require additional years and/or certifications, depending on its specific needs.  Also, other positions may have other requirements that are more specific to their job description.
