Library Information

Policies, and Check Out Procedures

The Diocesan Library, located on the second floor of the Chancery Building in Victoria, Texas, has over 4,000 books on religious and catechetical topics.

Hours: It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
and the 2nd Saturday of each month

The Diocesan Media Center has over 1200 videos and 700 audiocassette tapes. Parishes can purchase an Annual Contract ($100 a year), which for one year, entitles all persons in ministry from that parish to check out videos and cassette tapes. There is a $3.00 video rental charge for personal use and for ministry use from a parish without an annual contract. There is a $3.00 fee to cover postage and handling charges for checking out books via the Web.

The check out period for books, audio cassettes, and CDs is three weeks and two weeks for videos.

In order to check out materials from the library you need to fill out the library user form. You will be given a library patron number which serves the purpose of a library card.

After you search the catalog and make a selection, you may e-mail us your request to check out or reserve the material at library@victoriadiocese.org. You can also call the library (361) 573-0828 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
